We held a "Cookie Dessert Night" on our vacay in August, with the sweets prepared by the best baker in town - Stephanie.
We had a set of souvenir drink glasses made for the occasion, which were certified to be used with a wide variety of beverages.

Our G'daughter Suzanne recently defended her Doctoral Thesis and was awarded a Doctorate in Teacher Education and Development from Montclair State University. She is brilliant (if I must say so), and about as determined an individual as you will ever meet.
And at the same time, she has a great sense of humor and a most empathetic heart.
We are all in a bit of awe of her achievement and wish her the best as she sets out on this new chapter of her life."

Every family has milestone events that act as markers of progress, even if those markers also remind us of advancing years. Still, we wouldn't have it any other way.
G'daughter Kendall recently accepted an invitation to attend Pace College, and her academic credentials provided for a generous tuition consideration. Congratulations Kendall!
Kendall is the last of the Grillo G'kids to graduate high school. Her cousins, including the G'kid InLaws (as we call them) have an impressive record of achievements, and we are proud of every one of them. They get together and often recreate the very first G'kid collage - the so-called 'White photo' - from back in the day. You can see Kendall sitting on her brother Kurt's lap with the bow on her forehead. Be still my heart.

Peter recently married AJ, who also has a February Birthday, so she's in the group.

"This year, daughter Lisa and her boyfriend Todd made a great Christmas celebration at their new home with great food, lots of fun, and most importantly, the whole gang - daughters, grand kids, and one really cute great grandson.

Mabel entered the world at 8 lbs, 7 ozs, and was 21" tall.

"This is Rachel and Mike's 2nd, Crue Tyler. He was born when Peggy was having surgery on the Labor Day weekend.
Talk about events. Peggy is continuing on the mend. It was major surgery so she is still experiencing pain. Avoiding morphine to avoid constipation - the last thing she needs. On the good note - the plumbing is beginning to work.
We are more than blessed that the event could be fixed and the wonder-full arrival of Crue.
We have been with him in several occasions and he has been on best behavior for his grandparents.
